On the weekends of November 22/23 and December 13/14, 2025, 84 Historic Houses in Lazio will open for special events.
Tourists, locals, families, and students, will have the opportunity to visit for free residences usually closed to the public, such as castles, fortresses, villas, and parks, and to discover the charm of Lazio’s artistic and cultural heritage, preserved by many ancient families or foundations.
On December 13 and 14, 2025, the Regione Lazio and Lazio Innova will select the best Christmas display, awarding a special contribution of €5,000 to be reinvested in the winning residence.
The display must represent the historical, cultural, and artistic tradition of the region and respect the continuity across generations, which the Historic Houses Network embodies. The prize will be awarded on the criteria of atmosphere, originality, message, and use of materials and artisanal techniques.
