From June 3 to August 10, 2024, the Opera di Roma in Caracalla will celebrate the famous composer Puccini with several not to be missed performances and events. The historic Roman Baths, with its 4,500 seats arena and the Teatro del Portico, by the Temple of Jupiter, will come back to life hosting many new spectacles.
Two opera plays dedicated to Puccini will be performed on his death centenary: the “Tosca” from July 5 to August 9 and the “Turandot” from July 16 to August 10. The creative project was carried on for the first time by the star architect Fuksas, who specifically designed the installation for the Teatro Grande di Caracalla.
The summer events at the Baths of Caracalla will also include dance nights with Eleonora Abbagnato and the return of Roberto Bolle, Walt Disney movies with live music, as well as the aerial choreographies of the contemporary circus. The programme also involves theatrical works, the “Rhapsody in Blue” concert, three evenings of late-night Jazz and, since the beginning of June, many shows with pop music singers of the calibre of Francesco De Gregori paired with Checco Zalone , Antonello Venditti, Samuele Bersani, Biagio Antonacci, Umberto Tozzi and many others.
