New treasures on display at the Museo della Sabina Tiberina

The “Museo Archeologico della Sabina Tiberina in Fara in Sabina  is going to host new archaeological findings from recent excavations in the vicinity of Passo Corese.

The items have been found in 2015, during a mine clearance in the area of ​​ Passo Corese Station. The discovery consists in an incredible Roman necropolis with fourty-two burials dating from the 1st to the 3rd century AD.

On September 6, 2024, the Museum promoted a conference to explain the details of the extraordinary event. The meeting, held in the Sala Civica Santa Chiara in Fara in Sabina, saw the participation of experts, professionals and enthusiasts of archaeology, as well as the interest of students, scholars, teachers and visitors. These recent prestigious findings are new exceptional testimonies of the ancient history of Sabina.
