The twentieth edition of the Festa del Cinema di Roma, chaired by Salvatore Nastasi and directed by Paola Malanga, will take place from October 15 to 26, 2025, at the Auditorium Parco della Musica in Rome. In addition to the ceremony of the red carpet, screenings will be held in the Sale Sinopoli and Petrassi, in the Teatro Studio Gianni Borgna, and the space of Roma Lazio Film Commission in the AuditoriumArte. Many other cultural institutions in the capital will also be involved, such as the MAXXI, the Teatro Olimpico ACEA, the Casa del Cinema in Villa Borghese, and the nearby Via Veneto, up to Castel Sant’Angelo. The programming will also take place at the Cinema Giulio Cesare, the Teatro Palladium, and the Nuovo Cinema Aquila.
During the ten-day Festival, which will see the participation of important Italian and international guests, several prizes will be awarded and over 150 movies will be screened. The rich programme will include competitive sections and not, meet the public events, special screenings, and tributes.
The official image for the Festa del Cinema di Roma 2025, was created by the Italian master photographer Franco Pinna, born a hundred years ago. It is a shot taken from the set of Federico Fellini’s film “Juliet of the Spirits”, depicting a dreamlike, playful race, with the great director seen from behind.
