Civita Castellana has been officially declared “European Town of Sport 2027”. The recognition was awarded to the small town in the province of Viterbo by ACES Europe (Federation of European Capitals and Cities of Sport), for its commitment in the promotion of sport in different contests, such as health, social inclusion, education, and respect for human values.
The awarded municipalities will receive the prestigious recognition during an official ceremony to be held in 2026 at the European Parliament in Brussels, in the presence of European authorities.
Meanwhile, on Monday, November 10, 2025, at 3:30 PM, during the ACES Gala event in Rome, the municipal administration of Civita Castellana will receive, in the Salone d’Onore del Coni, the prize “Town of Sport 2027” and the plaque by ACES Europe.
