The new route of the Lake Turano, in the heart of Alta Sabina, winds through medieval villages, abbeys, and castles, offering trekkers a breathtaking view of the lake at every step. The six stages 100-kilometre circular route and its three stages 50-kilometre variant cross the medieval villages of Castel di Tora, Collalto Sabino, Paganico Sabino, Orvinio, Rocca Sinibalda, Colle di Tora, Ascrea, Turania, Longone Sabino, Stipes, Mirandella, and Cervia, through panoramic trails immersed in the beech forests of the Navegna and Cervia Mountains.
The project was born as part of the PNRR “Borghi uniti per la rigenerazione culturale e sociale della Valle del Turano”, promoted by the municipalities of Castel di Tora, Collalto Sabino, and Paganico Sabino, together with the local communities and with the support of the Association “Camminando Con”. The track is constantly being optimized, as there is no signage yet and the GPX is needed
