A Widespread Forest Museum has been created in Rocca di Papa, within the wooded area of Monte Cavo and the Via Sacra, in the heart of the Castelli Romani Regional Park. This open-air gallery displays artistic installations, sculptures, and evocative panoramas to be discovered by adults and children in a dialogue between nature and art.
In this peaceful open space, the light illuminating the forest make impressive artworks appear. Among these, “Flora” by Marco Martalar, a four-metre-tall wooden statue dedicated to nature. Hidden among the tree trunks we can spot corten steel animals, such as the jumping squirrel, the sleepy dormouse, the cunning fox, and many others. Our tour continues through marvellous gardens with the artworks of Gianlorenzo Palazzi and, finally, the large panoramic binoculars, from which it is possible to enjoy a new perspective on the landscape.
The Widespread Forest Museum, a project supported by the DMO Visit Castelli Romani and sponsored by the Consorzio SCR, is open to visitors on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays from 9:00 am to 6:30 pm, until October 25, 2025. All information is available at the Experience Park.
