From Saturday, March 30 until June 2, 2024, it will be possible to visit the Centro Botanico Moutan, at a short distance from the village of Vitorchiano, and to admire the colourful flowering of peonies, a fantastic messenger of beauty and happiness.
Extending over an area of 15 hectares and surrounded by holm oaks, olive trees and oaks, the Garden hosts a rare collection of 250,000 peonies, including around 600 different varieties and natural hybrids.
Flowering occurs at three different times, depending on the variety. It starts in April with the suffruticose shrubs, then it is the turn of the prized Rocki and, in May, the countless herbaceous ones appear. Each flowering, with its colours and fragrances, is a unique charming, inebriating spectacle.
The Moutan Garden belongs to the Grandi Giardini Italiani network and can be visited every day until the first Sunday in June, from 9.30am to 6pm. No reservation is required.
