The CNN, the famous well-known American TV broadcaster, has chosen Rieti for some scenes of the docufilm about the great basketball player Kobe Bryant, who dramatically died in 2020 in a helicopter accident.
Kobe Bryant began playing basketball in Rieti, where he moved in 1984 to follow his father Joseph, a player in the Sebastiani Rieti team. Today, the CNN is going to reconstruct this period of the champion’s life in Rieti and his beautiful and unforgettable memories.
The scenes will be filmed in the places where Kobe spent his childhood days, from his first hoops at the Stimmatini outdoor pitch, to his first mini-basketball tournament at the PalaSojourner, a prelude to the career of a champion among the best and most known sportsmen in history and in the world.
