From May 31 to August 31, 2024, at the WeGil cultural space in Rome, the “Emilio Leofreddi” exhibition, dedicated to the Roman artist, will take place on the first anniversary of passing over.
Over 150 works, included canvases, drawings, installations, videos, notes and photographs, will illustrate his work and life from the 1990s until his death. The three videos, Im Media, Contact and Caos, acquired by the Palazzo delle Esposizioni in Rome, are also on display.
The painter and artist Emilio Leofreddi, so much involved in social issues, created videos, installations, and performances with the support of Greenpeace, Amnesty International and Hands Off Cain. His works have been exhibited in the UK, USA, Germany, India, and China.
The exhibition, curated by Giuseppe Stagnitta, with the collaboration of the Emilio Leofreddi Archive and the contribution of Amnesty International Italia, is sponsored by the Regione Lazio in partnership with LAZIOcrea.
