The Italian Festival delle Radici 2024 is in progress, a project travelling throughout the peninsula, with the aim of rediscovering the cultural heritage of many small communities in the hinterland, that suffered, over the years, depopulation, and abandonment.
During the “Year of Italian Roots 2024”, the current edition of the “Festival delle Radici” represents an invitation to take a journey into other people stories, learn from their traditions, and celebrate the cultural heritage connecting the emigrants and the villagers. The event might even create, in these small villages, the opportunity of a sustainable and innovative longer stay.
The Festival delle Radici is held in nine Lazio villages. Four of them already hosted the Feast (Vallepietra, Alvito, Pofi and Atina), while the remaining five events are scheduled in Castel di Tora (October 19), Bolsena (October 26), Castiglione in Teverina (November 9), Allumiere (December 1), andSettefrati (date to be defined).
