From September 16 to October 2, 2024, the “Teano – Rome International Walk” along the Southern Via Francigena will be back with the participation of twenty pilgrims from all over the world, who will discover twenty-one municipalities in Lazio and two in Campania. The event, organized by the “Gruppo dei Dodici ODV” under the patronage of the AEVF – Associazione Europea Vie Francigene, is promoted by the destination management organization “Via Francigena Sud nel Lazio”.
The pilgrims will be able to admire the historical, artistic, and cultural beauties of twenty-three villages along the Southern Via Francigena. They will be accompanied by the “Gruppo dei Dodici” and welcomed by the local Municipal authorities. The entire journey will be described on the social channels of “Via Francigena Sud Lazio” and “Gruppo dei Dodici”.
The pilgrimage will start on September 17 in Teano and will end on October 2 at St. Peter’s Basilica in Rome. The participants will be able to enjoy the company of friendly people, admire beautiful landscapes, and appreciate the charming cultural, spiritual, and archaeological sites across the Lazio provinces of Latina and Rome
Once again this year, the “International Walk” will cover about 281 km along the Southern Via Francigena and will involve walkers from the USA, Taiwan, Denmark, and Spain. The “International Walk” has been recognized as an event of high cultural and social value and received, in 2023, the international prize “CT AWARDS 2024” in Stuttgart.
