The Falia of Priverno has obtained the National Brand

La Falia of Priverno has obtained the Geographical Collective Mark, a precious national recognition reserved for local products rich in quality and tradition.

Made with simple local ingredients, flour, water, and sourdough, in a long, flat shape, the Falia of Priverno is an extraordinary product of a territory already renowned for the excellence of its food and wine, landscape and artistic-cultural heritage.

Once a basic element in the diet of shepherds and, in more recent times, of the commuters who used to buy it in the early hours of the morning from local bakers, today, the Falia of Priverno is more and more appreciated by  gourmets, who love to taste it it seasoned with extra virgin olive oil and stuffed with mortadella or buffalo mozzarella or with the typical local broccoletti, known as spadoni.

This speciality is also the protagonist of the renowned “Falia and Broccoletti Festival”, which takes place every year in the heart of Priverno in the month of February.

The MCG brand for the history and identity protection of the Falia of Priverno is an important goal achieved thanks to the Falia Producers Association with the support of the local administrations, the Agenzia Regionale Arsial, the Pro Loco of Priverno, the Committee of the “Sagra della Falia e Broccoletti’, the Capol and the oil producers.
