The Historical “Carnevale del Liri”
The most important event of the Carnival is the Great Parade of Shrove Tuesday, in which floats from the neighbouring villages also participate. The papier-mâché allegorical floats are created by experienced craftsmen from Sora.

The Historical “Carnevale del Liri”
The “Carnevale del Liri” was established thanks to the cooperation among schools, associations and the Municipality from Sora and coordinated by the “Comitato Permanente del Carnevale del Liri” that has been organizing the event for years. The Committee brings together industrious papier-mâché masters from the various districts, who keep being engaged in this complex artisan work for months.
