The “Associazione Fratelli Incollatori di Capena “ will participate, on Monday, September 2, 2024 in the Procession dedicated to the Heart of Santa Rosa, the solemn rite celebrated the day before the Transport of the Macchina di Santa Rosa, which takes place in Viterbo on Tuesday, September 3.
Eight Incollatori, wearing the characteristic surplices, will alternate in the transportation of the sacred relic, with the Porters of Santa Rosa, San Lanno (Vasanello), and Maria SS. Liberatrice (Viterbo). A standard-bearer and two official escorts will also march in the parade.
On Tuesday, September 3, 2024, five members of the Association in ceremonial uniforms will participate in the Transport of the Macchina di Santa Rosa, supervising the safety cordon around the new Macchina, the “Dies Natalis”.
The Incollatori Association of Capena boasts a centuries-old tradition in transporting devotional machines to be carried on shoulder. On the night of August 14, during the ancient rite of the Processione dell’Incontro, celebrated in Capena, they carry on their shoulders the two imposing wooden machines with the sacred images of the Madonna delle Grazie and San Salvatore. A partnership between the Incollatori of Capena and the Porters of Santa Rosa was established in March 2024.
