The last stage of the 2024 “Giro d’Italia” will be Rome

For the second consecutive year, Rome will once again host the twenty-first and final stage of the Giro d’Italia on Sunday, May 26, 2024.

The 3,300 kilometres historic race will start on May 4, 2024, and will cross the peninsula in both directions.

The 125 kilometres Rome stretch will run along a route of extraordinary beauty. It will cover a great part of the Ostia coastline and some of the most famous historic sites in the Capital: the Baths of Caracalla, the Colosseum, the Imperial Forums, Piazza Venezia, the Lungotevere and the Circus Maximus. The winner among the 176 cyclists will conquer the prestigious Pink Jersey at the magnificent finish line, the Imperial Forums, the centre of the political activity in Ancient Rome.

Thanks to this extraordinary scenario, the “Giro d’Italia” is confirmed once again this year as being an unmissable spectacle, a collective celebration for citizens and tourists. It will also be an opportunity for the City of Rome to proudly display its great beauty to the world. Just think that last year 800 million spectators in 200 different countries watched the event.

In addition to Rome, the Giro d’Italia 2024 will also enter the Lazio region on Saturday 11 May, passing through Leonessa, Posta, Cittareale, Amatrice and Accumoli along the Via Salaria.

An appointment not to be missed on 11 May in the Rieti area and on 26 May in Rome.
