The 296th Edition of the “Infiorata” dedicated to the Madonna del Cuore, the oldest and most important event of this kind in Italy, will be held in Gerano on April 27, 2025. This year’s themes, related to the Jubilee 2025, have been announced in the Press Room of the “Camera dei Deputati”.
Here are the titles of the floral carpets, which will be created by local Master Flower-Artists:
- “The Rose Window with Heart” by Cristian Greco;
- “The Name of Mary” by Gabriele Latini (Centro Giovani G:I:A:C:);
- “Carità – Senso e Valore alle pratiche del Pellegrinaggio”, a project by groups of hosted flower artists;
- “Pilgrims of Hope” by Sofia Cacciaguerra (Associazione Giovanile Gheranos);
- “The Opening of the Holy Door – First time in the Rebibbia Prison” by Valerio Laudoni;
- “Homage to the Town of Subiaco, Italian Capital of the Book 2025” by Riccardo Santori;
- “The Canonization of Carlo Acutis” by Daniele Censi;
- 8. “Santa Maria Maggiore, Papal Jubilee Basilica” by Mariano Cacciaguerra;
- The Logo of the Jubilee 2025, a project by young flower artists.
The flowers are first selected, subjected to petal peeling, and then divided by colour and type. The process, an opportunity to share an almost 300 years old tradition handed down from generation to generation, requires great patience and experience.
Each petal is accurately arranged by hand, each nuance studied in the smallest details, in order to give life to extraordinary masterpieces!
