Abbey of Farfa

In the town of Fara in Sabina, just over 50 km from Rome we find the splendid Abbey of Farfa, one of the finest examples of Italian Renaissance buildings in all Italy.

This stunning monastic complex is of extremely ancient origin is a must. If you haven’t visited it yet, we strongly recommend it.

Visiting the Abbey is very easy. Highly qualified staff will show you round and be happy to point out every fascinating detail of the whole complex.

From the basilica to the Lombard cloister, then on to the ancient monks’ refectory, where the frescoes will really blow you away! The Renaissance cloister, the crypt and the library will all be taken in on this great tour.
