Leonessa in Winter

At Leonessa you can ski from December to April along 11 kilometres of slopes accessible from Campo Stella.

Leonessa has much to offer holiday-makers both in summer and in winter: panoramic views, medieval and Renaissance sites, wonderful local products and delectable dishes (in which potatoes and meat are never missing) and events of all kinds.

The skiing facility at Campo Stella can be reached by taking the road that connects Leonessa to Terminillo via Sella di Leonessa.

Recently enhanced, the area of Campo Sella features a network of ski slopes served by modern ski lifts.

Skiers of all levels will find their ideal slope at the summit of the two-seat Rubbio ski lift.

One of these is a 6-kilometre intermediate slope, perfect for skiers who love long but not very challenging pathways.

Skiers can reach considerable altitudes from the two ski lifts, Vallonina – Cima Organo and Selletta and even enjoy spectacular off-trail skiing through beech woods.

Campo Stella has an efficient skiing school with experienced instructors who can teach any kind of skiing.

For cross-country skiers of all levels, Leonessa offers the 5-kilometre Vallonina circuit, and the over 3-kilometre circuit of Fonte Nova.
