On July 26, 27 and 28, 2024, Rome will host the “Rally di Roma Capitale”, a weekend of pure passion and speed, where the best drivers will compete along the historic roads of the City. This important exciting event will not only attract rally enthusiasts, but also families and spectators, eager to experience a weekend of sport and fun. The competition is included in the fifth round of the “FIA European Rally Championship” of the “Campionato Italiano Assoluto Rally Sparco”, also valid for the “Eigth Zone Rally Cup”.
Thirteen special challenges have been planned in Rome and Lazio. The show will be inaugurated on July 26 with a spectacular parade through the streets of the Rome historic centre. The departure is scheduled for 8.00 pm from Colle Oppio in front of the Colosseum, with the SSS1 “Colosseo ACI Roma”.
During the day, in Fumone, free practice, qualifications and the shakedown will take place, followed by six special tests, three of which to be repeated twice.
On Saturday 27 and Sunday 28, the tournament will continue in Fiuggi and the province of Frosinone. “Alatri” will host, as in 2023, the famous downhill virtual chicane, whose last year edition has been the first one in the world of Rally. The 28.74 kilometres race “Santopadre-Fontana Liri”, with its evocative passage in Santopadre, will also come back. For the first time, a tyre warming area will be available to the competitors before the start of the almost twelve kilometres contest “Guarcino-Altipiani”. The long-awaited 32.30 km “Rocca di Cave-Subiaco”, the longest race on the European scene, will close the event. The arrival time in Fiuggi is planned from 5.15pm onwards.
