From Monday, April 8 to Saturday, April 13, 2024, the Film Music Festival dedicated to film music will take place in three locations in Rome: the Forum Studios, the Forum Theatre (former Teatro Euclide) and the Auditorium della Conciliazione.
Four opportunities to watch cult movies on big screen while listening to the soundtracks performed live by a symphony orchestra in perfect synchronization with the scenes . A total immersion in the beauty of the notes that have made masterpieces of cinema unforgettable.
On April 8, a tribute to the Italian composer Piero Piccioni, twenty years after his death, opens the event, which continues on Tuesday, April 9, with a tribute to the movie “Il Postino“, thirty years after its release. “The Celebration of Henry Mancini”, the composer of Breakfast at Tiffany and the Pink Panther soundtracks, will take place on Thursday, April 11, and, on April 12 and 13, “James Bond Reloaded” will be screened for the first time at the Auditorium della Conciliazione. The 90-piece Orchestra Italiana del Cinema, directed by Anthony Gabriele will pay homage to the most famous secret agent in the world, performing live the complete soundtrack of the movie.
The programme of the Festival continues with two extra days dedicated to “Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back”. The second chapter of the saga will arrive in chronological order on May 11 and 12, 2024 at the Auditorium Conciliazione in Rome.
