Fiamignano with its impressive historic centre, old stone houses and magnificent views of the Salto Valley, is the perfect place where to relax, immersed in the quite, uncontaminated nature.
In one of the two main squares stands the Church of the Patron Saints Damiano and Sebastiano, from where, along a narrow path, you can reach the remains of the Poggio Poponesco Castle and the sixteenth-century Convent of the Capuchins.
The Church of Santa Maria del Poggio, by the Castle ruins, preserves a votive fresco from 1580 portraying the Madonna on the Throne with Child and Saints.

The Big Bench of Fiamignano
Just 150 metres ahead, stands the Giant Bench n. 382, which joined the network of the Lazio Giant Benches in September 2024. On a rocky spur on the slopes of Mount Serra, at 1060 m.a.s.l., it offers visitors a wonderful view of the Valle del Salto and the lake of the same name.

Altopiano di Rascino in Fiamignano
From the small village, a twelve km marked road climbs up to the beautiful Altopiano di Rascino, where the renowned lentils are grown. Only sun, water and wind inhabit this wild place, among the most interesting and suggestive in the whole Cicolano area.

The centre of the plateau hosts a small lake that extends and withdraws according to the season. In spring and summer, you can observe the extraordinary flowering of lentils, together with sheep flocks and horse herds roaming free.
The typical cuisine includes simple dishes prepared with local products, such as mushrooms, truffles, and the delicious Red Chestnut of Cicolano.
In the trattorias of Flamignano, you can taste handmade pasta with exquisite sauces, grilled meat and homemade desserts.
Not to be missed the Sheep Show at Piani di Rascino and the Rascino Lentil Festival, both held every year in August.
