First International Amatriciana Day

On March 6, 7, and 8, 2026, during the first International Amatriciana Day, Amatrice will celebrate its iconic dish, a highlight of the Italian cuisine, with a rich programme of meetings and events for all ages, which will combine the region’s gastronomic traditions, beauties, and hospitality.

The initiative, celebrating the world’s most beloved dish, is promoted by the dall’Associazione dei Ristoratori e degli Albergatori di Amatrice (ARAM) with the patronage of the Municipality of Amatrice, the University of Roma Tre, Regione Lazio, and the Chamber of Commerce of Rieti and Viterbo. The three-day programme is packed with activities, focused on the region’s unique excellences, such as thematic conferences and workshops, visits to the reconstruction sites, walking and e-bike excursions, guided cultural tours, tastings, and cooking shows.

The event represents an opportunity to appreciate a recipe deeply rooted in the culture and history roots of the entire Amatriciana Valley, and to transform it into a powerful symbol local identity and promotion.
