From Friday, April 5 to Sunday, June 2, 2024, for the first time, the diffused, all-female exhibition: ““Livia e le altre raccontano. Storie di donne, tra miti e leggende, alla scoperta del sud pontino”, dedicated to mythological and real female figures from the Roman era,
Will take place simultaneously in five archaeological museums in Southern Lazio. The exhibition can be visited along a physical and virtual tour from Minturno to Via Appia, Via Francigena, Formia, Sperlonga, Fondi, and Priverno. Sixty women will tell their stories through an emotional, multisensory, and inclusive narrative, which wil also meets the need of people with disabilities.
Livia Drusilla, wife of the Emperor Augustus, will welcome the visitors, accompanied by a different patroness in each museum: Marìca in Minturno, Tulliola in Formia, Circe in Sperlonga, Pollia in Fondi and Camilla in Priverno, assisted by many other women from the past.
The exhibition will be open to visitors until June 2, 2024, during the opening times of each museum and will be free, except for the entrance ticket to the museum facilities.

The event is organized by the Association “Amo la mia Terra Aps Ets” in collaboration with the Direzione Regionale dei Musei del Lazio, the Museo Archeologico Nazionale and Villa di Tiberio in Sperlonga, the Museo Nazionale di Formia, the Parco Archeologico di Minturnae, the Municipality of Priverno, the Museo Archeologico di Priverno, the Municipality of Fondi and the Museo Archeologico di Fondi.
