This year again, on Saturday April 6 and Sunday April 7, 2024, the Houses of Illustrious Figures will open their doors to the visitors, who will be able to admire the residences where famous people were born or lived for a period while visiting country. It will be possible to book a visit until Thursday April 5 at 9pm.
The third edition of the event is promoted by the Associazione Nazionale delle Case della Memoria dei Personaggi Illustri, which preserves the memory of many no longer alive important figures, who still have much to say.
Noteworthy are the House Museum of Ugo Tognazzi in Velletri, where the great actor loved to organize his memorable dinners with his family and friends, the House of the illustrious family Altemps-Borghese in Villa Mondragone, and the Locanda Martorelli in Ariccia, an obligatory stop for many painters and writers during their Grand Tour in the nineteenth century. Visiting these residences in Lazio, you will discover small corners, objects and views that have inspired men and women artists and scientists.
